I've never seen so many people at Aldi (I've heard there are times when it's really busy). Today was the first day of the "back to school" specials, and everybody wanted a bargain. You can't beat $19 school shoes and $7 sneakers, especially for a young kid who has yet worked out how not to kill their shoes in the first 5 minutes.
On a routine vaccination visit to the doctor, we got a bonus- both our daughters received 2 needles! I shouldn't laugh, I know, but it was funny.
We also made an obligatory visit to a thrift store. Found a Leapfrog device for $3. That is cheap. Haven't tested it, but at least it turned on.

Catch you next time,
