Animal Farm!

We recently took a short day trip to the Golden Ridge Animal Farm, which is a family-owned business located in Dural. For $15 per person (plus $5 per bucket of feed- we bought 2), we were treated to 2 hours of entertainment from a variety of animals including goats, ducks, rabbits, horses, cows and chickens, to name a few.

Kids will love this place because they will get to feed, pat, milk, and cuddle the animals in a low-pressure atmosphere. The day we went (a Saturday, during school-term), there weren't many people there (probably frightened by the predicted big storm- which in fact, caused major damage that afternoon- see another post) and there was plenty of time to interact with the animals. There is also the option of the $5 pony ride at the conclusion of the "tour".

Here is a video we made of our little adventure:

At the end of the farm visit, you can have lunch on one of the benches there (hence a great idea to pack your own picnic lunch).

If you have young children, this farm is highly recommended. Just wear suitable attire for animals, poo and potentially muddy ground.

Until next time,

D
