It was a really nice day in the city. We attended our daughter's presentation day at the Opera House, and then walked around a bit. The performances at the presentation were pretty amazing, and you should try the customised Golden Gaytime at Myer.
Part of our day involved visiting the much-hyped "Level 9" Disney Experience at the flagship David Jones store. Months (years) in the making, this sadly does not live up to the hype. For a tour of the floor, as well as some of the performances from the presentation day, please check out my video:
Why do I feel this way about the Disney thing? I don't want to, but it's just an average attempt to rope people into buying Disney merchandise at RRP. There is nothing there that can't be bought cheaper at say, a Target. I was really hoping that they would bring out some Disney Store stuff that you can't otherwise get in Australia, but so far, this does not seem to be the case. This is reflected by the fact that when we were there (a Thursday afternoon, 2 weeks before Christmas), there were more staff than customers.
